Building Regional Teams for
Future Research Collaboration

The AYSC 2026 is organized as a side event of the Global Research Council (GRC) Annual Meeting 2026, hosted by TSRI(Thailand).

Regional Networking

Build professional connections with outstanding young researchers from across all ASEAN Member States, fostering trust and long-term collaborative relationships.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration

Form cross-country research teams to tackle shared ASEAN challenges including climate change, sustainable development, and public health.

Funding Opportunities

Learn about regional and international research funding from JST/e-Asia, DOST, BRIN, Belmont Forum, Sea Dream Program, NSFC-TSRI.

Leadership Development

Develop as a future research leader, contributing to a long-term regional pool of talented scientists capable of driving innovation across ASEAN.

Eligibility Criteria

1
Be a citizen of an ASEAN Member State (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, or Vietnam)
2
Demonstrate excellent proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
3
Possess strong leadership potential in research or innovation
4
Hold a doctoral degree, medical degree, or equivalent (or Master/PhD in Business-related fields where relevant)
5
Be able to fully participate in all program sessions and activities on 19 May 2026
